Description

20 rose seeds Growing rose's from the seed is very rewarding and the process can be timely. I personally like to start my seeds by soaking them 15 - 30 minutes in water with a small amount of peroxide mixed in, and pat dry to prevent the seeds from growing mold. My next step I like to do is take a small storage container and put the seeds on top of a damp paper towel and close the container loosely. I know a lot of people like to place the container in the fridge until it starts to germinate and this can take 6 - 12 weeks. I personally leave them out when you start to see your seeds root its time to transplant them into soil. There are all types of sand, dirt, soil and manure's that you can use, once you pick what you like, take a planter or put your seedling in the ground 3 to 4 inches deep and 2 feet apart for healthy plants. Roses like mostly sun at least 4 - 8 hours a day and moist warm soil. It can take a while before you see your first flower but please be patient the weight is rewarding. Rose's are open pollinated flowers and the color of your flowers can change, for example lets say you have a white rose plant near a red rose plant. The wind, butterflys or bee's can cross pollinate the white and red flowers and make a different color rose. If you have just red rose's when they cross pollinate they will stay red and the same with the white rose's.
