Description

You will receive cuttings currently growing in 6 inch pot similar to picture 4, packaged with great care. Pink butterflies cutting is approximately 5 to 6 inches in length. ***DISCLAIMER: Pictures are examples of groupings of the plants. ****NOTE: Small pink petals are very delicate and are prone to fall off main leaf during shipment. More will grow once planted. Pink butterflies are a cross between: 1. Houghton's Hybrid (kalanchoe original hybrid) 2. Mother of Thousands (kalanchoe diagremontiana) 3. Kalanchoe tubiflora (kalanchoe delagoensis) which are evergreen succulents native to Africa, Madagascar and some areas of Asia. The more sunlight the plant receives the more intense the pink color, as shown in picture 1 and 2. In early summer, the plant produces pink leaves and pink seeds/planets that form all along the edge of the variegated leaves. They are dormant in winter when planets/seeds or daughters fall off; some planets will root, but most don't. It flowers in spring with pink bell shaped flowers. Succulents are grown in dry, arid climates, so it?s important to make sure they have a good drainage with soil that is specifically designed for succulents. Water about once a week in spring and summer, and water in between dried out soil. In fall and winter, water once or twice a month depending on your climate. The plant is low maintenance and requires moderate watering once a week, preferred indirect or filter sunlight. In cold weather, avoid over watering, and protect from frost (can be indoors). ***If you are ordering from areas below 35 degrees, we have 72 hour heat packs available for purchase to protect your plants during transit.*** We want you to be happy with your order! Please message us if there are any questions or concerns about your order. We will respond promptly. Happy planting!
